Samuel James: Samuel James has collaborated on more than 250 works over twenty five years with contemporary Australian performance companies and independent dancers. His projection work is often seen in the major Australian Festivals as well as smaller developments with experimental companies. He has toured with Back to Back Theatre making the performance video The Democratic Set (Europe and Canada 2018-20), and has designed several 360VR projects in 2019-20 with Theatre Kantanka. He recently designed projections for Korean musicians Noreum Machi at the National Theatre of Korea, Seoul and Panic Embrace, a VR installation for Blik Blik Festival 2020 in Pilsen, Czech Republic. He has participated in international residencies in Norway, Czech Republic, Reykjavik, Finland, The Banff Centre, Calcutta and Berlin developing and presenting performative videos which map onto urban and natural spaces. Large scale exhibitions include: Amygdala - Fear Conditioning Artspace, Sydney, 2010, Nightshifters Performance Space 2010, Vivaria Mobile States 2009, Artifact Cartoons at The Tanks Arts Centre Cairns 2013 and Dream Shelving at Campbelltown Arts Centre 2011.
