Warakirri - Indigiearth - Carriageworks - Vivid

Box of Birds / Stalker invited me to work on educational catering company Indigiearth's latest food experience, WARAKIRRI (to grow) for VIVID Sydney 2026. Using 12 projectors in a surround layout in Bay 19 Carriageworks, mapped by Jordan East, I made a series of composites from my archives dating back to 2011 from desert, rainforest, central and tropical Australia to match the six course degustation menu. Each section was themed; Welcome white smoke damper,  Ocean Water Crawbobs, Freshwater Rainforest Crocodile, Country Regional Kangaroo, Desert Emu, Connection Family Storyline Dessert. The native plants and fruits used to accentuate the meats and sweets were Rosella (hibiscus), Qwondong, Finger lime, Kakadu Plum, Davidson Plum and Muntries to name a few. It was another opportunity working with First Nations creators, this time Sharon Winsor who was very generous and trusting in my application of images of country to the tastes of each course. It was a first for matching projections with flavour!
